non*mart - designs for a post-consumer planet
Welcome to non*mart - since 2009. All about us
Seeking artists to submit small works for the Trade-O-Mat.
Want to be included? Here's more about it....

The Trade-O-Mat gives people the opportunity to create community by eliminating the exchange of money for goods and converting the automated experience to one of creative, personal engagement.

As part of the upcoming exhibition Reimagining Progress: Production, Consumption and Alternative Economies at the David Brower Center in Berkeley (May 22 through September 4, 2014), the Trade-O-Mat is seeking work to include in it's display windows, each measuring 5 1/2"wide x 6"deep x 12" tall.

Each window has a corresponding drop box where an interested trader can suggest something he/she would like to swap the artist for in exchange for the item. Requests will be collected during the course of the show and each Trade-O-Mat artist will review the submitted trade requests, select the most compelling offer, contact the trader and discuss the exchange of the prized Trade-O-Mat object.

Send a description and an image / sketch of the piece you would like to submit to the Trade-O-Mat by Monday, March 31st here.
